About the author

A picture of Myrtle

Myrtle Groves was born in London within the sound of the Bow bells. Myrtle loved to travel to far-flung destinations.

After journeying to the antipodes, her thirst for travel and adventure was further stimulated, causing her to continue on many more memorable expeditions.

The 'Mystery of the Verona Connection" was one of a collection of thrillers penned by Myrtle during her eventful and colourful life.

EDITORS NOTE:

This book is published postumously under my mother's maiden name of Myrtle Groves.

Previous works include two small books of poetry, "The Other Side of the Record" (volumes 1 and 2)

Myrtle Pearse was her married name, and the name she was known by to most people. Over her career, she wore many hats, one of which was a stint in radio broadcasting in New Zealand.

Myrtle also used a number of pseudonyms; the most memorable of these was "Myrtle the Turtle".

She always encouraged everybody to try and give anything a go, especially as you get older (you may surprise your self!).
